Ciba Vision has recently introduced their newest lens for patients suffering from Astigmatism. Air Optix for Astigmatism, also known as O2 Optix Toric is built on the successful O2 Optix lens design and material and incorporates new technologies for a truly breakthrough toric lens. Similar to the O2 Optix, Air Optix for Astigmatism is created with Ciba Vision’s patented lotrafilcon B lens material allowing the lens to reach a Dk/t of 108 (at -3.00D, -1.25D x 180) for a healthier, more comfortable fit. Thanks to Air Optix for Astigmatism’s high oxygen transmissibility, it is the only toric lens approved for daily wear or up to 6 nights extended wear.

A key feature of the Air Optix for Astigmatism contact lens is the new 8|4 precision balance design created by Ciba Vision, allowing improved comfort and better oxygen transmissibility. Air Optix for Astigmatism also incorporates Ciba Vision’s Patented, permanent, biocompatible plasma surface treatment which was introduced with the Air Optix Aqua lens and is now available for the first time in a toric lens.
