I love wearing Ciba’s Focus Dailies one-a-day disposable contact lenses for a variety of reasons, primary of which is that it is maintenance-free. I totally abhor regularly cleaning my lenses and washing my lens case. With Focus Dailies contact lenses, I don’t have to do either of these things. I also love the feeling that I get when I wear fresh lenses every morning. Not to mention, it makes for clearer vision because there are no oil build-ups to deal with.
Also, I suffer from allergies and hay fever that gives me teary eyes. Whenever I wear my old pair of long-wearing contact lenses, the tears cause blurriness and a film develops from the oil and dirt my tears carry. As a result, my vision gets impaired. With Focus Dailies contact lenses, I don’t have to worry about this because, any time I feel like it, I can throw away the lenses I’m wearing and immediately put in fresh ones for instant sharp and clear vision.
The reason I am recommending getting a trial pack first before deciding to buy a whole set of Focus Dailies contact lenses is that it also has a downside. This downside has to do with its flimsiness.
This flimsy quality of the lenses, while contributing to the ease and comfort of users, unfortunately also makes the lenses difficult to pick up with your fingers and place on your eyes. If, for some reason, you happen to drop the lens prior to inserting in your eye, chances are you would find it difficult to know whether you are putting the lens on the wrong way. Until of course your eye starts feeling itchy and your vision becomes distorted.
These problems I’ve encountered with the use of Focus Dailies contact lenses, however, are insignificant when viewed against the benefits they bring me. Nothing beats the feeling of a fresh new lens at the start of the day and the convenience of not having to deal with soaking solutions and the like.
Based on these alone, I would say Ciba’s Focus Dailies contact lenses are worth the try. But like I tell anyone who asks, it would be better if you go to their website first to try and get a trial pack. Not all people respond to things the same way so try Focus Dailies first before you actually go online to purchase a box.
